The 2019 ARV.International residency program is complete. The activities started with the opening of the contemporary art gallery Heerz Tooya, managed by ARV.I director Lars Nordby. The gallery is located in the old part of the city Veliko Turnovo, the old capital of Bulgaria. The exhibition program includes ARV.I artist-in-residents and international visual artists invited outside of the ARV.I program. The Heerz Tooya exhibition program can be seen at www.heerztooya.com.
The first artist-in-residency in 2019 was visual artist Carl Mannov (DK), followed up by Oda Haugerud (SE), Kristoffer Zeiner Christiansen (NO), Marius Mathisrud (NO), Sigbjørn Bratlie (NO), Yvette Kaiser Smith (US), and Marijana Radovic (SRB). Each concluding their residency with an exhibition at gallery Heerz Tooya including new artworks.
In 2020 artists may apply for a residency on an ongoing basis, starting April on a monthly premise till September. Read more under the link Application.
