Kneeled down on the cobblestone, lit only by a single streetlight and with a pile of papers and clippings by my side - I am vigorously scratching and rubbing dust and mud onto sheets of paper. I discovered a very specific technique which allows me to collect and sample all these textures and patterns around me - on walls, shirts, tablecloths, wires crossing wires and brrrrrricks upon bricks, upon bricks, upon bricks.

After a while, the collection would grow, and all these sheets would become one big-big-big pile that could be stitched (or sewn) together to a bulky newspaper-like thing. And I see myself walking around town with this bulky pile of paper, stained by coffee-spills and whatnot. Folding it would be easy, and if the pockets of my jacket are deep enough, it might all fit in there - with some effort, and some minor rips and tears (which easily can be patched later) it finds its way into the pocket, only to be unpacked again at the square around the corner.

It takes some time arranging the sheets in the preferred order, and at the end of the day they are stitched (or sewn) together, and... again - back in the pocket you go (!) Even though most passers-by tend to notice neither me nor the sheets, I imagine one day someone might find interest in the pile of papers I‘m clinging to all day, unpacking and packing again and again. This person might see some potential usage for them and find the patches, fingermarks, stains, folds and tears to be just perrrrrrfect (!) for their upcoming-up-to-date-fashion-collection.
