Heerz Tooya proudly presents the solo exhibition, titled The Great Journey, with new paintings by visual artist Tommi Nordgren.

The Great Journey is a tale of the emptiness in which all phenomena and life appear until it vanishes and decays. The breath of life, lack of time, past and future, the small, trembling moment in the face of non-existence. Only those who face their emptiness can become whole.

Tommi Nordgren (b. 1974 Helsinki, Finland) tells stories in painting that contain insights and riddles without answers. Tommi has studied at the Pekka Halonen Art Academy in Finland and at the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts. He has resided in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria for the past decade. Nordgren has participated in the Northern Countries’ “Portaet Nu!” portrait competition, in which he presented works upon the same theme as on display in his Memory of the Future exhibition in Gallery A2. www.tomminordgren.com
